Akagera game lodge is a mid-range lodge found in Akagera National Park overlooking Lake Ihema. The lodge is centrally located with just a 2 minutes drive from the park’s head quarters. All rooms have balconies with great views of the Akagera Park. The lodge attracts many animals like zebras which usually feed along the fence, elephants which like feeding from the shrubs along the fence. fenced from one. Many baboons jump over the fence and will usually roam around the lodge.
All rooms have been refurbished and are in great shape. Restaurant runs early morning from 5am for the early bird catchers going for the Game drive in the North and goes till Midnight. Bathrooms are all excellent with clean bath tabs, taps, showers and excellent running water both cold and hot.
